Studies have proven that more than 10% of all births world-wide occur to teenage mothers. Teenage pregnancies are seen more as a social problem due to the impact of the social and economic environments these children are raised in.

In order to prevent teen pregnancy it is very important for the parents or guardians of these children girls or boys, to take the time out and discuss the risks of either getting pregnant or getting a girl pregnant. By explaining how important abstinence is and the risks and consequences associated with it, then maybe there is a chance in preventing this happening to these children.

    Thanks for the info, Teenage pregnancy is a matter of great concern today. Some of the factors responsible for this menace are lack awareness and understanding about sex, unprotected sex, sex education not being made mandatory in schools, early marriage and rape.
    I’ll be back to read more next time

    You are correct if these children become more aware of the many consequences of becoming pregnant then maybe it can slow down in the near future. If it doesn’t the future does not look to bright for the children born today.
